TMD stands for Temporomandibular Joint Disorder.

TMD is a group of syndromes that can cause pain in the jaw, face, ears, and headaches. Jaw pain can lead to decrease in motion of the jaw, neck pain, difficulty chewing, biting, breathing, and even swallowing!

It is important to have thorough structural, functional, and psychological assessment which may include co-treatments of multiple healthcare providers to fully address TMD.
